One Year later

One Year later

On entering the second year of this blog

My Thoughts?

In general – I followed Darren’s advice,  spending a few hours on the weekend getting a week or so’s worth of material written

About a thousand of you per month have been visiting, although that got blown through the roof in January ’08 for the one post not tech related (see below)

The most searched for posts have been the ones related to ITIL and the small to medium business

Most short term search hits was about 500 in 2 weeks on my complaining about the Car Warranty Scam going on in my region

What have I learned?

I think the biggest benefit for me has been learning to better articulate what I am thinking.

It is easy to say you know something , until you have to talk about it ….

Amazing how that forces you to confront what you don’t know!

Thanks You All!

    For those of you coming here in the future, if you are responsible for Enterprise IT I encourage you to read the itorganization2017 blog. It takes deep dives into portfolio management and other larger strategic IT issues.

    @Julien – thanks & count on it!

    @Mitch – thanks for dropping by! ‘regular obsession’ hmmm – obsessive compulsive?

  4. Congratulations on your wonderful blog, Elliot! The first year is the hardest! After that, it just becomes a regular obsession 🙂

  5. Congratulations Elliot! Keep it up! Not only have you managed to make it through your first year, you have kept your posts very interesting, down-to-earth and probably as importantly – frequent. Let’s celebrate in person sometime soon 🙂

    Congratulations – that is a great milestone, that places you in a rare majority of bloggers (most wimp out before their first anniversary). You have chosen a worthy topic and an important audience. And you have created good content for that audience – it is much appreciated!

    Keep up the great work – here’s to the 5th anniversary!
