Work Arounds: Not Tolerated

May 1, 2009

I wrote this post titled; Good Enough back in March 2008.

In that post I stated that something can be adequate for the current circumstances. I stated that with the future unknown, and unknowable, aiming for perfection in everything will be a waste of time and resources. So good enough is an adequate word, and an adequate situation.

I want to add one warning to that – good enough does not mean shortcuts or the least amount of work necessary.

I have been spending a lot of time fixing problems that exist because people took short cuts and created work arounds that left things a true mess.

That is not good enough!
